About Sasha
Here to walk with you
As a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in community and clinical settings in social work and mental health, Sasha specializes in trauma-informed, neuro-affirming care for individuals across all stages of life. Her approach is rooted in holistic, inclusive, and strength-based values, with a focus on healing trauma and building resilience. She believes healing happens in relationship - with ourselves, with others, and with the systems we move through. Whether you’re processing trauma, navigating life transitions, or seeking a more grounded, connected life, Sasha is here to support you with compassion, evidence, and integrity.
Sasha is certified in Brainspotting (Phases 1 & 2) and incorporates a range of evidence-based modalities in her practice, including Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She works with clients in a culturally safe and respectful manner and is deeply committed to supporting children, youth, families, and communities through wraparound care.
In addition to her private practice, Sasha has served as a Clinical Wellness Worker providing intensive, land-based supports to Indigenous families. Her previous roles include Executive Director of the Association for Community Living and various leadership roles within the Manitoba Department of Families.
Sasha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. She is affiliated with the Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW), Brainspotting Canada, and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Outside of her professional life, Sasha finds joy in the simple things—spending quality time with her son and their close-knit family, caring for their beloved pets, and reconnecting with nature at the lake. She enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and embracing quiet moments that nurture reflection and wellness. These personal passions mirror the grounding, heart-centred philosophy she brings into her therapeutic work.

Therapeutic Approaches
Approach to Healing
At White Lotus Therapy, Sasha offers evidence-based, holistic modalities tailored to each client’s unique story: Brainspotting (Primary Modality): Access the brain-body connection to release trauma at the neurological level. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): Challenge negative thought patterns and build healthier coping strategies. DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy): Balance emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: Identify strengths, set goals, and take practical steps toward change. All services are delivered through a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens, with a focus on collaboration and empowerment.
Sasha has a strong professional focus on trauma-informed, client-centred care, grounded in the belief that healing requires safety, trust, and empowerment. Her approach integrates Brainspotting, mindfulness-based practices, and other body-mind techniques to support nervous system regulation and deep trauma processing.
